Sofia Perez

Immigration Paralegal

Sofia Perez serves as a paralegal for the immigration team at GCLC. She earned her BA in Communication from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in May 2023. Before joining GCLC, Sofia dedicated a year to AmeriCorps through Illinois JusticeCorps, a program that supports self-represented litigants in courthouses across Illinois. During her tenure as an Illinois JusticeCorps fellow, she played a pivotal role as the lead coordinator for Spanish-speaking patrons in Cook County and the Richard Daley Center.

Sofia is deeply passionate about helping others and is inspired by GCLC's commitment to expanding legal resources in the Greater Chicago area. This commitment resonates with her personal mission to improve legal support for Spanish-speaking communities and clients.

Outside of work, Sofia loves exploring new restaurants, traveling to exciting destinations, and enjoying time by the lake.
