Kirston Fortune, Development Officer

Kirston is responsible for managing GCLC’s grants program and leading other philanthropic initiatives. Before joining the Clinic, she worked for several years as a consultant, assisting nonprofit organizations with capacity-building initiatives in development and communications. Organizations she collaborated with in this capacity range from community-based nonprofits to nationally recognized organizations such as the Smithsonian Institution. Additionally, she worked for several years in higher education, notably at the Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law, the University of Texas at Austin School of Law, and the University of Chicago Law School.

Kirston lives with her husband, sons, and a miscellanea of four-legged companions on Chicago’s West Side.
