Caroline A. Teichner, Member

Caroline is a litigator on the in-house Legal team at Kraft Heinz and also manages the company’s Legal Operations team. Before moving in-house, Caroline worked in private practice in Chicago as a patent and trademark litigator. She earned a BSE degree in Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering from Princeton University and graduated as valedictorian from the Chicago-Kent College of Law.

Caroline joined the GCLC Board in 2024. She is inspired by GCLC’s mission of providing equal access to quality legal representation for anyone who needs help, and as a lawyer herself, appreciates the opportunity afforded by GCLC to give back to the community. Caroline serves on another not-for-profit board for a youth development organization based in Chicago. In 2021, Caroline and two neighbors co-organized a grass roots movement to prevent the Chicago Department of Water Management from cutting down more than 40 healthy, mature trees in her community to replace a water main—an achievement recognized by the Chicago Region Trees Initiative with the 2022 Community Advocate Award. Caroline has two young children and lives in Lakeview.
